The eagerly-anticipated BIGGEST LOSER makeover episode is here, and this season, it's bigger than ever! First Lady Michelle Obama guest stars in a celebration that whisks the contestants away to the White House to reunite with their loved ones, and take part in the show's first-ever White House workout. The episode will air Tuesday, April 10 (8-9 p.m. ET).
In the episode, the contestants get to meet First Lady Michelle Obama, whose Let's Move! initiative focuses on solving the problem of childhood obesity. The First Lady talks to the contestants about how adult behavior impacts kid behavior, congratulates the contestants on being good examples of health and fitness, and visits with each player and their family members. Then it's time for a workout they'll never forget as trainers Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince lead the First Lady, the contestants and their families through "The Biggest Loser's" first ever White House workout.
Mrs. Obama also tells the contestants about PALA (Presidential Active Lifestyle Award), the six-week pledge-based program designed to get both adults and children more physically active and healthy. She challenges The Players to see who can get the most people to sign up under their names on www.nbc.com/pala after the episode airs and until April 25, and they later find out that Planet Fitness will donate $30,000 worth of gym equipment to the hometown of the winning contestant - so that their whole community can get active too! The winner will be announced at the finale.
Also while in D.C., Bob tries to help a player who turns to food for comfort to deal with the stress of worrying about a loved one at home, and Dolvett puts contestants through a scenic last chance workout in front of the U.S. Capitol at the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial. Then their amazing trip to D.C. is over and they return to the ranch to weigh-in before another player is sent home.
