Former Alaska governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin appeared on this morning's TODAY show, appearing as a guest in the 7:00 am hour and then as a cohost for the 8 a.m. hour.
Prior to the show, Palin made fun of herself as she was shown getting ready to come on air amidst a pile of newspapers. She jokingly told host Matt Lauer that a stranger had stopped her on the street yesterday saying they knew she was Tina Fey when Palin told them she was on her way to the 30 Rock studio.
When Palin discussed the GOP presidential race and today's primaries in Wisconsin, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, the conversation turned more serious as she maintained, "Anybody but Obama will be so much better for our country." She also commented that it doesn't matter whether a GOP presidential candidate picked a running mate who's been battle-tested at the national level because "they're gonna get clobbered by the lamestream media who does not like the conservative message."
