Last night, May 12, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark unveiled the new version of the mega musical. The official opening night of the new SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is set for Tuesday, June 14th at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street). Tickets are now on sale through October 2, 2011, with group tickets on sale through January 8, 2012. Click below to hear about the new and improved production from the men who have updated it: writers Glen Berger (who also collaborated with Julie Taymor on the original production) and newcomer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa.

Amongst other changes in the show, Christopher Tierney returns to the production for his first performance since his injury on December 20, 2010.

The revamping of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark represents an unprecedented and historic moment on Broadway. A press release for the new version proclaims that the new show "takes the best aspects of the original, adds great new music by Bono and The Edge, tells the story from a different angle, and will offer an even more thrilling audience experience."

Philip William McKinley, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, and Chase Brock have joined the creative team to help implement new staging, assist with book rewrites, and create additional choreography, respectively.

Tickets for SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark are priced from $67.50 - $135 for weekday performances and $67.50 - $140 for weekend performances and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or by calling (877) 250-2929.
