Yesterday, November 25, New York celebrated Thanksgiving with the 85th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The parade was Broadcast on both NBC and CBS and some of Broadway's biggest shows took center stage to entertain the masses. Check out the clip below as the cast of the hit musical SISTER ACT 'Spreads the Love' and ushers in the holiday season!
As usual, Broadway was well represented at the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade with performances from Anything Goes, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Priscilla, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Sister Act, and Newsies, in addition to appearances by Godspell's Hunter Parrish, Relatively Speaking's Steve Guttenberg and Laura Bell Bundy.
The Parade of wonder featured 15 giant character balloons; 44 novelty/ornament balloons, balloonicles and balloonheads; 27 floats; 1,600 cheerleaders, dancers and performance group members; 800 clowns; 11 marching bands; a host of celebrity performers, and the one-and-only Santa Claus.
