Roundabout Theatre Company's winter/spring season includes a variety of shows from drama to comedy, from serious to heartwarming. First, RoseMary Harris stars in the critically acclaimed story about a troubled home, THE ROAD TO MECCA along with Jim Dale and Carla Gugino. This production, which the playwright Athol Fugard calls one of his most successful works, is in celebration of his 80th birthday. Opening in January 2012, John Osborne's dark drama LOOK BACK IN ANGER about a marriage on its way to demise will take the stage at the Center for Theatre/Laura Pels Theatre. Director Sam Gold takes a new look at this play, putting the audience right into the set. Following that is a show quite the opposite of the shows earlier in the season: the comedy, DON'T DRESS FOR DINNER. This farce by Marc Carmoletti includes the classic elements of a stage comedy, including mistaken identities, infidelity, confusion, etc. The director promises that this play does not try to be profound or conclude with a serious moral, it's just made for the audience to laugh and have a good time. Closing out the season will be the first Broadway revival of HARVEY in decades. Leading the cast is Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory) who brings out the innocence of his character in a real way that will leave audience members feeling very touched.

In the following video, cast members, directors, playwrights, and Roundabout Theatre Company staff members discuss each show for the new season in-depth and give fans a good idea about what exactly the new season will look like.
