Rachel Tucker, currently starring in the smash hit WICKED at the Apollo Theatre, recently appeared on the ITV skating competition "Dancing on Ice" to perform the Wicked's show stopping number Defying Gravity. The number was the music to a sizzling performance from the skaters, with a huge finish from both the contestants and Tucker.
Before appearing on BBC reality show 'I'd Do Anything', Rachel Tucker was already a professional performer, with credits including Rod Stewart's Tonight's the Night in the West End. She also appeared in productions of RENT, The Wizard of Oz and The Full Monty. Tucker followed her stint on 'I'd Do Anything' by starring as Meat in the Queen musical 'We Will Rock You' at the Dominion Theatre; she has been playing the lead role of Elphaba in WICKED since March 2010.
In 2010, theatregoers named WICKED London's ‘Most Popular Show' (Laurence Olivier Awards), ‘Best West End Show' (Whatsonstage.com Awards) and ‘Best Long-Running West End Show' (Broadwayworld.com UK Awards). The musical has won over 35 major awards around the world.
