Nick Pitera, known for his one man Youtube medleys, has released a new video that is a medley of hits from Alan Menken's NEWSIES. Check out the video!

Pitera says, "Newsies was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I'm so glad it has been translated into a Broadway production! (I am going to see it next weekend). This is my tribute to the show as well as the film. The songs I choose to include reflect the arrangements/lyrics of the Broadway show, with the exception of "Patrick's Mother's" solo. I just really wanted to sing that part."

NEWSIES opened March 29th, at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre for a limited run following its critically-hailed stint at Paper Mill Playhouse last fall. The musical, featuring a score by Alan Menken and Jack Feldman and a book by Harvey Fierstein, played its first Broadway preview on March 15th; the final performance is scheduled for August 19th. NEWSIES produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, is directed by Jeff Calhoun and choreographed by Christopher Gattelli. The score includes songs from the original film such as "Carrying the Banner," "Seize the Day," "King of New York" and "Santa Fe." It also features six new songs, three of which ("The Bottom Line," "That's Rich" and "Something to Believe In") have been added for the Broadway production.

Tickets are available for purchase through www.NewsiesTheMusical.com, by calling Ticketmaster's Disney on Broadway hotline at 866-870-2717, or in person at the Nederlander Theatre box office (208 W. 41st Street).
