NC-17. is a new American tragedy written and conceived by Rodney Hicks, featuring music by indie singer-songwriter Justin Jude Carroll. Below, check out a new trailer for NC-17., featuring the show's new graphic design! The NC-17 website -- www.ncseventeen.net -- has also been updated with new interactive features on the journey, characters, the soundtrack, and a web journal tracking progress on the piece.

"It tells the interconnected story of six seventeen year olds living and dying in a fictitious small town in middle america. This isn't a story of my life, but is inspired by the many people I've met and have known in my life, all told through the eyes of these six seventeen year olds that were created from my imagination and the things I've seen and heard along the way. These young people represent what is going on in our world today. Told with quick wit, unsentimentally and a will to keep moving forward, despite life's obstacles. NC-17. will challenge you to listen to what's not being said and to everything that is. Hopefully you too will be newly changed by NC-17." - Rodney Hicks, writer/conceiver of NC-17.

Developmental readings of this story and its characters were conducted by Hicks at Portland Center Stage and Seattle Repertory Theatre last year, as well as several private readings, and an in class workshop of early material while Hicks was an adjunct professor at Portland State University in the Fall of 2014, all under the working titles PWPperfectworksinprogress, FREE and Homeroom, respectively.

NC-17. had its premiere reading this past March in New York City at Ripley Grier Studios. With a cast that featured, Mirirai Sithole, Amanda Perez, Justin Gregory Lopez, Marrick Smith, Krystal Joy Brown and Matthew McCollum.
