Past Tony Award host and Broadway veteran Neil Patrick Harris appears alongside Amelia Talbot, Bonnie Somerville, and more in "The Best and the Brightest." The film will be released in July 2011. Check out a trailer for the film below!

Set in the world of New York City's elite private kindergartens, THE BEST AND THE BRIGHTEST is about a fresh-faced young couple from Delaware, Jeff (Neil Patrick Harris) and Samantha (Bonnie Somerville), who have only recently moved into town. The comedy centers on the extreme lengths they must go to in order to get their five-year-old daughter into school.

When the obstacles in this high-stakes world become apparent, Jeff tells Sam that he'd rather just throw in the towel and move back home. But Sam harbors a strong ambitious streak. Deep down she yearns for something more than her small-town provincial life. She wants to take one last shot at her dream of a life among the best and brightest. Like Dustin Hoffman's character in TOOTSIE, Sam's stubborn determination is the engine of the movie.

Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated actor, Neil Patrick Harris can currently be seen as Barney Stinson in the hit CBS comedy series, "How I Met Your Mother," a role which recently garnered him a 2009 Golden Globe nomination and two consecutive Emmy Award nominations. From his film debut opposite Whoopi Goldberg in Clara's Heart and his seminal role as the beloved titular character in "Doogie Howser, M.D.," to his recent turn in Joss Whedon's online sensation, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, Harris has enjoyed a successful career spanning more than twenty years in the industry. Among his many theatrical credits include the dual role of The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the Tony Award-winning production of Assassins, as well as acclaimed performances in the Broadway productions of Cabaret and Proof.
