According to CBSnews.com, about 100 protestors who are involved with the 'Occupy Wall Street' demonstration in New York City have caused the shut down of shooting of an upcoming episode of NBC's LAW & ORDER:SVU late last night.

After hearing through Twitter that the upcoming episode was to be about the Wall Street demonstrations, protestors began to arrive at lower Manhattan's Foley Square around midnight to demonstrate their distaste for the show's premise.  It is very common for the NBC drama to film on location throughout New York City, and the show's storylines are often based on real-life events.

A recent notice placed in the Foley Square area announcing the upcoming shoot read: A board at the site read: "Please be advised that the TV show, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit will be preparing this area of the park for a scene to be filmed in the morning hours on Friday, December 9th. All items in park will be removed immediately upon completion of filming."

The crowd erupted in applause when a New York police officer announced that the show's film permit had been rescinded.  The protestors soon dispursed and no arrests were made. The set for the show's shooting was quickly dismantled.
