Matthew Morrison opened his world tour at HMV Hammersmith Apollo in London last night in front of a packed, energetic crowd. Morrison is best known for his role of Will Schuester on the global TV hit GLEE. Rising to fame as a Broadway actor, Morrison made his debut as a recording artist with his self-titled debut album earlier this year. Click below to watch Morrison perform a West Side Story medley!

According to entertainment-focus.com, the show opened with a video played on a screen center stage featuring Morrison in a car with his GLEE co-star Jane Lynch. The audience laughed as Lynch cut Morrison down with her deadpan remarks while he tried to sing-a-long to every song on the radio. As the video ended, and Jane Lynch called the crowd ‘losers', Morrison arrived on stage to perform the evening's first number "Sway".

The setlist for the 100 minute show was a combination of songs from Morrison's debut record, songs performed in GLEE and a few songs thrown in for good measure, including a medley from the Broadway classic WEST SIDE STORY, accompanied only by bongo drums. For his encore, Morrison returned to the stage for a Beatles medley of "Let It Be" and "Hey Jude" before slowing things down with a beautiful rendition of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" with one of his back up singers. Rumor has it that fellow GLEE actress Gwyneth Paltrow was in the audience to watch her friend bring down the house.
