Lin-Manuel Miranda went back to his Hunter Elementary School roots in today's digital #Ham4Ham performance.

Miranda gathered his old classmates together in their elementary school auditorium for a performance of "Martin Luther King," a song their teacher wrote for MLK Day. Check out the fun performance below!

"Our elementary school music teacher, Barbara Ames, wrote THE BEST Martin Luther King song so that her students would have something to sing in January, in addition to We Shall Overcome," Miranda says of the video.

"It's a crime that the world doesn't know this song. So I put out a call, and over 50 alums spanning 15 years showed up to sing it with me. Huge thanks to Arthur "The Geniuses" Lewis on piano, Lisa Siegmann and Danny San Germano at Hunter, and Jennifer Raab, president of Hunter, for letting us go back home to make this."

Miranda closed his YouTube post with a tribute to their teacher, "Ms. Ames, know that for every kid on this list, there are 10 more of your students who just couldn't make it to NY and wanted to be there. We love you so much. Thanks for changing our lives."

Last year, Lin-Manuel Miranda, the genius behind the new musical Hamilton, started what has become one of the theatre community's most beloved weekly traditions on Broadway. He invited fellow cast members to join him as he greeted fans outside the Richard Rodgers Theatre before the drawing of the $10 lottery tickets, and they would sing something fun or participate in a Q&A with an unexpected twist. Before long, it grew into a regularly-scheduled pre-lottery performance known as "#Ham4Ham," playing on the fact that Hamilton's face is on the $10 bill.

BroadwayWorld previously reported that the outdoor performance is on a hiatus until March as managers at the Richard Rodgers work out safety measures to accommodate the sizable crowds in attendance, but Lin-Manuel Miranda has promised that he will be posting performances online in the meantime.

The new musical Hamilton has book, music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also plays the title role. The musical is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. Hamilton is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography "Alexander Hamilton."
