KINKY BOOTS producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, along with Grammy and Tony Award-winner Cyndi Lauper and Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein, are encouraging people to get out the vote on November 8th. Fierstein and Lauper surprised a recent audience at the Tony Award-winning musical, and joined the cast on stage for a reworked version of the show's Act 1 finale "Everybody Say Yeah," and then helped patrons register to vote. Watch video of Lauper & Fierstein's appearance below!

"Because of its subject and its message, Kinky Boots has the rare opportunity to be part of the political conversation," Fierstein said. "Hopefully, this fun little rewrite of "Everybody Say Yeah" will remind some people to register before it's too late, and make sure their voices are heard on November 8th."

Anyone can register online to vote instantly at kinky.vote.

Here are the lyrics to "Everybody Voter Say Yeah":

It's time to get out the vote and express your views

It's your responsibility

Impact the future with who you choose

Talk about liberty

'Cause on November 8th it's going down

So do it for your nation

Get up, get online, and get in step

With our Kinky registration

Every voter say yeah (yeah)

Say yeah (yeah)

Say yeah (yeah)

Say yeah (yeah)

Yeah

(spoken)

Democrats, Republicans, and those who have yet to make up their minds

We want each and every one of you to get out there and vote on Election Day

Remember, your vote is your voice, and not everybody's going to like it

But you gotta let it be heard

Kinky Boots tells the uplifting and heartwarming tale of Charlie Price, a young man reluctantly taking over his family's struggling shoe factory and looking for a fresh idea. Charlie meets and finds inspiration in Lola and together, they discover that it takes a good friend to make a great pair.

The winner of six 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Kinky Boots features a Tony Award-winning score by Cyndi Lauper, a book by Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein. Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Jerry Mitchell, Kinky Boots has won every major Best Musical Award and is represented around the world with the Tony Award-winning Broadway company now in its fourth year, a North American First National Tour in its third year, a London production in its second year (where it won the 2016 Olivier Award for Best Musical) and a Korean production that opened in September 2016 (a previous Korean production played in 2014). An Australian production will open in October 2016. Other previous productions include an extended run in Toronto and a Japanese language production. The Grammy Award-winning Original Broadway Cast Recording of Kinky Boots is available on Sony Masterworks Broadway.
