ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS, J.R. Martinez will be co-hosting a CNN Special entitled 'CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute' on December 11th. CNN newsman Anderson Cooper will co-host the show.
Martinez will also contribute to the upcoming CNN show, 'CNN Heroes: Where Are They Now?'. The special will air tomorrow, November 24th and will include guest appearances by comedians George Lopez and Rainn Wilson. Guests on the show will share the heroes that have been an inspiration to them throughout their lives.
Martinez, who last night won the ABC dance competition DANCING WITH THE STARS, is a veteran of the Iraqi war and was severely injured when his Humvee was hit a landmine in 2002. Upon his return home, Martinez began acting in the ABC soap opera, 'All My Children'.
Among the heroes to be chronicled on the CNN special will be Bruno Serato. Since 2005, Chef Serato has been serving free pasta dinners to children, many of whom are too poor and live in motels with their families. Today, Serato porivdes dinner 7 days a week to more than 300 children at the Boys and Girls Club of Anaheim, CA.
