The cast and creative team of LITTLE DANCER, featuring book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music by Stephen Flaherty, and direction and choreography by Susan Stroman, recently gathered on the first day of rehearsal for its world premiere at Kennedy Center. LITTLE DANCER is inspired by the story of Marie van Goethem, a young ballerina who posed for Edgar Degas and became, inadvertently, the most famous dancer in the world. Performances will take place in the Kennedy Center Eisenhower Theater from October 25 to November 30, 2014. Press night will be Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.
