STAGE TUBE: Hillary and Donald Hug it Out in SNL's Final Cold Open Before the Election

Last night's cold open on SNL started out frosty as ever, with Alec Baldwin and Kate McKinnon reprising their roles as Donald Trump and Secretary Hillary Clinton, respectively. With less than 72 HOURS left before the election, the pair were joined by Cecily Strong as Erin Burnett, host of CNN's OutFront, to provide the candidates with their final attempt to present their case to the American people before Tuesday.

After the latest rumble of a Clinton e-mail SCANDAL caused by James Comey this previous week, the sketch was built primarily around Burnett repeatedly returning to the discussion of Clinton's e-mails, even in the face of Baldwin's Trump literally kissing a member of the KKK, Putin, and other controversial figures who have endorsed and supported Trump's campaign.

The familiar battleground took a turn at the end, however, when Baldwin dropped his impersonation and explained to Kate that he was tired of attacking her. McKinnon agreed and the two hugged out their differences before taking to the streets of Manhattan to greet supporters of their opponent's, presenting themselves as a united front. At the end of the sketch, McKinnon urged citizens to show up and vote on Tuesday.
