The Okee Dokee Brothers, Justin Lansing and Joe Mailander, won the 2013 GRAMMY award for their first Adventure Album, Can You Canoe?, and they just received a GRAMMY Award nomination for their new Cd-DVd, Through the Woods. This traveling duo and special guests perform an interactive hootenanny of bluegrassy songs for all ages. Lansing and Mailander are lifelong friends who enjoy outdoors adventures as much as they like making music. They draw inspiration from their experiences while providing a creative framework for the audience to explore their own imaginations. "We hope to inspire kids to take an active role in their lives, get outside and make their dreams realities," they say.

Watch Joe and Justin perform "Through the Woods" on the Appalachian Trail below!

Symphony Space is located at 2537 Broadway (at 95th Street) on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, NYC, across from the 96th Street subway station (1,2,3).

More coming up: On February 28th, enjoy smart and soulful songs by The Walkmen's Walter Martin. Musical performances are scheduled for March, with Elizabeth Mitchell, Danny Weinkauf of They Might Be Giants, and San Francisco indie darling Frances England. And, over the weekend of March 7 and 8, enjoy a break-dancing extravaganza with NYC's own Manzana City Crew. Visit www.symphonyspace.org/justkidding for details.
