STAGE TUBE: First Look - Trailer for Disney's Upcoming Epic JOHN CARTER

John Carter is coming to theaters on March 9, 2012 from Touchstone Pictures. The film's star, Friday Night Light's actor Taylor Kitsch, appeared on this morning's 'Good Morning America' to promote the upcoming film and reveal its just-released trailer.

The Sci-fi adventure film is directed by Andrew Stanton and stars Kitsch, John Carter, Bryan Cranston, Daryl Sabara, Mark Strong, Dominic West, Ciarán Hinds, Willem Dafoe, James Purefoy, Lynn Collins, Polly Walker, Thomas Haden Church, Samantha Morton, Don Stark, Jonathan Hyde, Raad Rawi, Sean Carrigan, Christopher Goodman, Kyle Agnew, Matt Lasky, Christian Wolf-La'Moy, Rupert Frazer, Steven Cree, Julian Stone, Oliver Boot, Darwin Shaw, Daniel O'Meara, Dusty Sorg, Perry Millward and Amanda Clayton?.

The film tells the story of Civil War vet John Carter, who is transplanted to Mars, where he discovers a lush, wildly diverse planet whose main inhabitants are 12-foot tall green barbarians. Finding himself a prisoner of these creatures, he escapes, only to encounter Dejah Thoris, Princess of Helium, who is in desperate need of a savior.
