Adam Lambert has released a new video for his latest hit, "Never Close Our Eyes." The futuristic, sci-fi themed film was inspired by the novel "1984." In a recent interview with Billboard.com Lambert spoke about the video: "There's a little sci-fi energy to it. It's very cinematic. It was inspired by a couple different films. It was a fun shoot. We did it in one day and it was great. The director is Dori Oskowitz and he's awesome." Check it out below!
Lambert's latest album, 'Trespassing' reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums and his second major label album. It follows "For Your Entertainment," released in 2009, which debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 198,000 sold in its first week. Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream" (a debut at No. 1 with 701,000) and Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas" at No. 2 (218,000) prevented Lambert from reaching the top spot.
Lambert's theatre credits include the national tour and LA productions of WICKED, and THE TEN COMMANDMENTS.
Lambert is the seventh "American Idol" finalist to reach No. 1, following Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Underwood, Chris Daughtry (of Daughtry) and Scotty McCreery. The fact that an "Idol" finalist has topped the list for the three consecutive weeks makes it the longest period that an "Idol" alum has maintained the No. 1 slot.
