Before Dominic Cooper snagged the role 'Sky' in the film adaptation of Mamma Mia! starring Meryl Street, Amanda Seyfried and Pierce Brosnan, American Pie alum auditioned for the part.  His audition tape has been released.  Click below to see his take on 'Sky.'

the 2008 film rendition of Mamma Mia! was adapted from the 1999 West End musical of the same name, based on the songs of successful pop group ABBA, with additional music composed by ABBA member Benny Andersson. The show is currently playing the Winter Garden Theatre On Broadway.

The musical and movie includes such hits as "Super Trouper", "I Have A Dream", "Dancing Queen", "Knowing Me, Knowing You", "Take A Chance On Me", "Thank You for the Music", "Money, Money, Money", "The Winner Takes It All", "Voulez Vous" and "SOS". It had been seen on stage by over ten million people worldwide as of July 2003. Estimates in 2007 bring the number to 30 million. Since its opening in 1999, the franchise has grossed US $2.0 billion in earnings.

Distributed by Universal Pictures in partnership with Tom Hanks' and Rita Wilson's Playtone and Littlestar, the Mamma Mia! film became the highest-grossing film musical of all time breaking the 30-year-old record of Grease. The title originates from ABBA's 1975 chart-topper "Mamma Mia". Meryl Streep lead the cast as Donna Sheridan. Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, and Stellan Skarsgård play the three possible fathers to Donna's daughter, Sophie (played by Amanda Seyfried).

Mamma Mia! became the highest-grossing film of all time in the United Kingdom, surpassing Titanic until Avatar surpassed Mamma Mia!.
