Fan fave Chord Overstreet will make his return to GLEE on the upcoming episode entitled 'Hold On To Sixteen'. In a just-released video on Glee's YouTube channel, the actor discussed what it was like to come back to the popular FOX series. In the video, Overstreet chats about the fun he had performing Toby Keith's 'Red Solo Cup' in the upcoming episode. He also reveals that his character is now a stripper who goes by the professional name, 'White Chocolate'.
In October, the Fox network officially announced Overstreet's return to the series in the role of Sam Evans in a multi-episode arc beginning December. In their announcement, show creator Ryan Murphy commented, "We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back. So here's an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks-Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!"
Said Overstreet of the announcement, "I had the best time on GLEE and couldn't be more excited to be returning,"
Overstreet's character was introduced last season as a transfer student at McKinley, discovered by then-football captain FINN HUDSON (Corey Monteith) while singing Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn" in the locker room. Later in the season, Sam revealed that his dad had lost his job, and that his family was living in a motel. In Season Three's premiere, viewers learned that Sam and his family had moved out of state.
