Carson Kressley may not be Dancing with the Stars after his elimination on Tuesday's show, but fans can still check out his moves as he takes on a brand new dance partner, Kevin Costner, in a riotously funny video sendup of "Dances With Wolves" that just premiered on hit comedy site, funnyordie.com. The video, which is quickly going viral, supports a cause near and dear to the former DWTS contestant's heart: the protection and well-being of animals.
The video will be part of the inaugural American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards
TM, presented by cesar® canine cuisine and produced by Emmy Award-winning MRB Productions, which Kressley hosts. The Hero Dog Awards will air as a 90-minute original special on Hallmark Channel on Veteran's Day, November 11, 2011 at 8:00 pm/7 Central.
"Carson may have gone to the dogs in the judges' eyes, but he is top dog in our book," said Robin Ganzert, President & CEO of American Humane Association. "Carson has been a real friend to animals through his support of our organization and others. He brings the same throw-yourself-into-it-all-the-way spirit exhibited on 'Dancing with the Stars' to the issue of ensuring the protection and well-being of animals. He approaches everything with a bit of humor, a bit of over-the-top gusto, and a whole lot of commitment."
DWTS fans who may have feared they had seen the last of Kressley's unique dancing style can see Kressley's new video, which made the front page of funnyordie.com (http://www.funnyordie.com/videos/3db72dab81/dances-with-wolves-ii-how-costner-got-his-groove-back). Produced to promote the Hero Dog Awards and tied to his Dancing with the Stars debut, the video short is a hilarious sendup of the
Kevin Costner classic "Dances with Wolves" - as only
Carson Kressley could do it.
"We just want Carson to know that although he was eliminated, he's always got a spot on our dance card," Ganzert said.
