Audra McDonald can now add wedding singer to her resume (alongside winning four Tony Awards). On Sunday, July 24, McDonald was the guest singer at the same-sex wedding of a Bloomberg administration staffer at Gracie Mansion. Bloomberg himself officiated the ceremony. McDonald has stared in the ABC television drama Private Practice as Dr. Naomi Bennett. She has appeared on stage in Ragtime, A Raisin in the Sun, 110 in the Shade, Master Class, Carousel, and more. She maintains an active concert and recording career, performing song cycles and operas as well as performing in concert throughout the US. She has won the Tony Award four times and Grammy Award twice. She will return to Broadway in the winter opposite Norm Lewis in Porgy and Bess.
