Earlier this week, MCC Theater's Miscast gala, an annual highlight of the New York Theater season, honored Oscar winning star of stage and screen and MCC alum Marisa Tomei. The gala featured show-stopping performances by Emmy Award nominee Tituss Burgess; Tony Award winners Lea Salonga and Linda Lavin; Tony Award nominee Keala Settle; and stage and screen stars Aaron Tveit, Beth Behrs, Cynthia Erivo, Ana Villafañe, and Shanice Williams.

MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala is one of the most exciting and unique theater events in town, for which Broadway's hottest stars perform songs by characters as whom they would never be cast.

Proceeds from Miscast 2016 will, as always, support MCC Theater's mission to develop and produce exciting work Off-Broadway, as well as its Youth Company and partnerships with New York City public high schools, and MCC's literary development work with emerging playwrights.
