After Midnight is the Broadway show that transports you to one of Harlem's legendary nightclubs, the Cotton Club, in a hotbed of Jazz. The show features the timeless songs of Duke Ellington and his contemporaries and the brilliant prose of Langston Hughes. Together, these ingredients make for unpredictable danger and fun that will leave your heart pounding. Directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, After Midnight blurs the line between past and present to prove that Jazz is more than music--it's a state of mind.
Multi-Platinum recording artist and actress Vanessa Williams officially joined the cast on April 2. She most recently appeared on Broadway in the Tony nominated play The Trip to Bountiful where she portrayed Jessie Mae Watts, a role she will reprise for Lifetime's upcoming television adaptation of the Horton Foote classic. Other Broadway credits include: Into the Woods (Tony Nomination),Kiss of The Spider Woman (Theatre WORLD Award), Sondheim on Sondheim, and St. Louis Woman for City Center's acclaimed Encores! Series.
