Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced today three upcoming cast changes in three featured roles in its award winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's South Pacific, directed by Bartlett Sher at the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Beginning Tuesday, January 6, Andrew Samonsky will assume the role of Lt. Joseph Cable, Eric Anderson the role of Stewpot and Matt Caplan the role of Professor, succeeding, respectively, Matthew Morrison, Victor Hawks and Noah Weisberg.
Andrew Samonsky and
Matt Caplan are original cast members of this Lincoln Center Theater production.
Andrew Samonsky's previous credits include Bob Wallace in
White Christmas at the Denver Theater Center, the national tour of Disney's On The Record and roles in regional theatres throughout the country.
Matt Caplan has appeared on Broadway in Rent and High Fidelity and in the national tour of Rent.
Eric Anderson, who is making his Broadway debut in Rodgers & Hammerstein's
South Pacific, appeared as Merlyn in the national tour of Camelot and as Burr in the Los Angeles premieres of both versions of The Wild Party. His television credits include Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Alias and Dirt.
