SOUL OF SHAOLIN Comes to Broadway's Marquis Theater Starting 1/13

Variety is reporting that SOUL OF SHAOLIN, a Chinese martial arts show is now booked at Broadway's Marquis Theater from January 13th and January 31st, 2009 with an opening night on January 15th, 2009. The show will fill the theater in between Irving Berlin's WHITE CHRISTMAS and 9 to 5.

Variety states, " The first production from the People's Republic of China to play the Main Stem, "Soul" will run 24 perfs in January, timed to the lunar new year. China on Broadway, a team-up of Nederlander Worldwide Prods. and the Eastern Shanghai Cultural Film and Television Group (an org supported by the Shanghai mayor's office), intends to bring a Chinese production to the Rialto every year at around the same time."

SOUL OF SHAOLIN tells the story of a boy raised by Monks to become a Shaolin kung fu master.
