"The hunter becomes the hunted when he finds himself caught between a girl, a ghost and a legend, and must choose between losing his heart or losing his head."

Sleepy Hollow, the Musical is now one of six finalists in the New York New Works (NYNW) Theater Festival and will be performing on Monday, November 6th at Theatre 80. The festival will showcase an exciting 25 minute investor "teaser" version of Sleepy Hollow, which includes seven original songs.

The NYNW is a unique event that showcases a handful of pre-selected new works to industry professionals that range from Tony and Emmy award winning producers to writers, and performers. These invited professionals will then form specific panels to assess and promote the best of the best.

Sleepy Hollow, the Musical was created by Michelle S. Ackerman and is directed by Nicola Royston. Sleepy Hollow's Musical Supervisor is Nicholas Connors with Musical Direction by Debra Cook.

Rooted in the classic Washington Irving tale, Sleepy Hollow, the Musical, is a multi-layered mystery with contemporary twists that defy expectation; saturated with beautiful, haunting melodies.

Familiar characters: The bold charismatic Brom Bones, played by Jack O'Brien (International Tour: Shrek the Musical, First National Tour: Ghost the Musical). The beautiful innocent Katrina Van Tassel played by newcomer, Carly Ameling (Les Miserables at the Players Guild.) The ever arrogant Ichabod Crane, played by Mychal Leverage (Bonnie & Clyde Access Theatre and The Kentucky Tragedy Magnet Theatre). Each initially plays their familiar roles in the quiet ambiance of Sleepy Hollow; however, mysterious and unforeseeable consequences materialize as each reveal personal ambitions.

The story is narrated B. Marcus Jordan (Parade at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, and Ragtime with the Gallery Players.) This terrific cast also includes: Jenay Naima (Villager/Ensemble), Tesia Kwarteng (Abigail), Everett O'Niel (Baltus Van Tassel) Derek Herman (Thomas/Ensemble), Eric Miller (Young Baltus/Ensemble), Tony Johnson (Matthias/Ensemble), Natalie Blackman (Villager/Ensemble), Hannah Rae Faulk (Villager/Ensemble) Elijah Raykhan (School Boy) and Mikaylah Desroches (School Girl).

Sleepy Hollow, the Musical plays at the Theatre 80 on November 9th at 7PM. Heads will roll!
