SING! SING! SING! will hold its next American Popular Song Sing-In on Tuesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street in New York City.

Submit your nominations (up to three) for the theme, "Songs We Want Our Kids to Know." They are seeking YOUR opinion about what American popular songbook classics are must-knows for the younger generation. There are already a large number of nominations, and the list must be winnowed down to 20. So, please, before this weekend is over, send your list of song favorites. If they pick yours, your name will be put in the program notes and you will be acknowledged from the stage. Send an email to hellotus@aol.com.

On March 20, these songs will be sung together by everyone; lyrics happily provided. And "godmother," Judy Wolman, who started SING! SING! SING! in Los Angeles 20 years ago will be saluted. Judy will be in town to join the event for the first time after three years of SINGs in New York.

Reservations are not a must, but they do help The Triad plan their staffing needs. Call 212-786-9064 and leave your name and the number in your party. (Please do not call The Triad; they are not staffed to handle these reservations.) Cover is $10 per person, with a two-drink minimum (cash only, please). Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first-come, first-served. The Triad is one flight of stairs above Seven's Turkish Grill Restaurant on the south side of 72nd Street between Broadway and Columbus. An elevator is available by pre-arrangement for those who may find the stairs difficult.
