The filmmaking team behind SING ALONG, the upcoming short film musical, have launched a Kickstarter campaign offering 60 tickets to the premiere for $225, with 30 available for $125.

The premiere is slated to have a star-studded turn-out given its cast -- Tony winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal), Uzo Aduba (Godspell), Myles Erlick (Billy Elliot), Heidi Blickenstaff ([title of show]), and Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening).  Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark's Patrick Page will have a cameo role, and YouTube sensation Sam Tsui will co-star, the only non-Broadway alum in the cast.

Premiere attendees will also receive an autographed storyboard of their choice, an autographed copy of the script, and an autographed 11x17 promotional poster, as well as a DVD screener and a digital copy of the original soundtrack.  Additionally, their names will be listed in the end credits.

The event is tentatively scheduled for a Sunday night in March or April 2013, at a New York City location, to be determined.  Tickets are available at http://kck.st/MJA6ry.

SING ALONG centers on a teenaged boy who survives his agoraphobia by picturing New York City as a musical.  But his imagination distracts him from his school work, which causes tension between his naysayer mother, who discourages her son's aspirations of starring on Boadway.  Myles Erlick, who starred as Billy Elliot on Broadway, will star in the lead role with Alice Ripley as his mother.  The original songs have been composed by Ron Wasserman with lyrics by Kathy Fisher.

The film was conceived and will be directed by Mark Oxman.  It will begin production in early October, filmed entirely in Midtown Manhattan.
