SIMPLY STREISAND, a celebration of Ms. Barbra Streisand, her legendary career and the music she made famous, will continue at The Laurie Beechman Theatre for one additional performance, following four critically acclaimed previous performances. SIMPLY STREISAND will continue on Wednesday, November 2 @ 7pm. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within The West Bank Cafe, 407 West 42nd St., in the heart of New York's theatre district. Streisand has personally raised 25 million dollars for organizations through her live performances alone. The Streisand Foundation, established in 1986, has contributed over 16 million dollars through nearly 1,000 grants to "national organizations working on preservation of the environment, voter education, the protection of civil liberties and civil rights, women's issues and nuclear disarmament." In 2006, Streisand personally donated $1 million dollars to the William Jefferson Clinton Foundation in support of former President Bill Clinton's climate change initiative. In 2008, Streisand gifted $5 million dollars to endow the Barbra Streisand Women's Cardiovascular Research and Education Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center's Women's Heart Center.
