Five public schools across the country will "Do the Roar" when the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) announce the recipients of the $10,000 grants to help save at-risk music and arts programs. In celebration of bringing the theater experience home for families to enjoy like never before, Dreamworks Animation and Twentieth Century Fox have found a partner in NAfME in an effort to keep arts programs alive.

The five schools to be awarded grants include Celia Cruz High School in New York, Sumner Academy in Kansas City, Staunton River High School in Moneta, VA and two schools from the Los Angeles area: Baldwin Hills Elementary and Playa Vista Elementary.

In celebration of the Blu-ray and DVD release of the Tony Award winning production of Shrek The Musical, during the month of October, students and teachers across the country were encouraged to visit www.ShrekDay.com and enter for a chance to receive a grant for their school's music and arts program. Once a school was submitted, friends and family could vote online for their school to win the $10,000 grant. Students conducted massive grassroots efforts to encourage voting for their school, reaching out to their families, friends and communities to participate.

Fans were also encouraged to vote for their favorite Shrek The Musical character poster including Shrek and Donkey with Fiona winning the fan favorite vote! For more information and to view the winning character poster, visit www.ShrekDay.com.

The Shrek The Musical Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD is now available and perfect for holiday gift giving.
