Brooklyn's celebrated arts training center completes its second season with a rousing night of Broadway favorites sung by Mary Micari's Musical Master Class and performed across the street from The Public Theater in Manhattan.
Broadway professional Mary Elizabeth Micari (Thoroughly Modern Millie, Wonderful Town, Spamalot, Little Women, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Light in the Piazza, The Producers, Wicked; and two Tony Award shows) has assembled a winning team: Mason Griffin (collaborator of Taylor Negron; pianist for the preliminaries of the workshop of Steve Martin & Edie Brickell's Bright Star; accompanied Laura Osnes, and Santino Fontana; and current musical director for off-Broadway's Naked Boys Singing); and acclaimed stage and film director/producer Jay Michaels join her taking the audience on a trip down Broadway memory lane.
Presenting memorable melodies from Tony-winning works will be Ashley Chico, Emmy Pai, Isabella Sirota, Jeffrey Ng, Nicole Anne Rapp, Mario Claudio, Christine Conway, standup comedian Dave Richards, and Alinna & Andrew Gonzalez and Martin Richards from the M Promising Youth program.
The M Center will be opening a Manhattan studio in the Chelsea area this summer.
