Holy $-#-@-! San Francisco/>/>'s The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has added four (4) more Adults-Only performances!

Hot on the heels of the overwhelming success of their first Adult Night, Spelling Bee, the Tony Award- winning musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, book by Rachel Sheinkin, conceived by Rebecca Feldman and directed by James Lapine, has scheduled more:

Tuesday, July 11 at 8:00PM
Sunday, July 23 at 7:00PM
Tuesday, August 8 at 8:00PM
Sunday, August 20 at 7:00PM
At these performances, the kids should be left home with the sitter, because no one under 17 will be admitted to Adult Night at the Post Street Theatre!

Adult Nights at the Bee had its genesis in rehearsals for the Broadway production, during which the cast would ad lib using some very off-color humor. That humor was compiled into a special mature audience performance that debuted in New York/>/> last fall. The San Francisco cast first performed its Adult Night on Sunday, June 4 to "a raucous audience of Bee buffs who howled with laughter at jokes about mail-order brides, unusual sexual proclivities, racial stereotypes and certain celebrities," states press notes. Producer, David Stone, thusly scheduled the additional adults-only performances.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is now playing at San Francisco/>/>'s Post Street Theatre (450 Post St., 2nd floor). The performance schedule is as follows: Tuesday through Friday at 8:00PM, Saturday at 2:00 & 8:00PM, and Sunday at 2:00 & 7:00PM. Tickets range in price from $40–$66

These Adults-Only performances contain adult language and situations; therefore, no one under 17 will be admitted. A limited number of $25 rush tickets are available at the Post Street Theatre box office two hours prior to every performance. Tickets are for same-day performances only and must be purchased with cash.

Spelling Bee tickets are on sale at the Post Street Theatre box office, by phone at 415-771-6900 and on the web at www.ticketmaster.com.  Visit www.poststreettheatre.com for more information.
