The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) has ratified a new three-year work contract with the Broadway League, according to a report in Variety.
Variety also reports that the new deal, "provides new protections for new media, promotion and electronic reproductions." The deal struck will also consist of, "increased employer contributions to health pensions and gives producers more flexibility for touring shows that stop in one place for more than 12 weeks."
The Broadway League is the national trade association for the Broadway industry. Members include theatre owners and operators, producers, presenters, and general managers in New York and more than 250 other North American cities, as well as suppliers of goods and services to the theatre industry. Each year, League members bring Broadway to more than 30 million people in New York and on tour across the U.S. and Canada.
