Join the Society of Composers & Lyricists, in collaboration with NYU Steinhardt, and spend a very personal evening with one of New York's most-in-demand theatre and film composers, Jeanine Tesori, as she is interviewed by fellow NY theatre composer and SCL member Rob Reale. Ms. Tesori's credits include four Tony-nominated scores ('Caroline, or Change', 'Thoroughly Modern Millie', 'Shrek' and 'Twelfth Night') as well as critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic.

She and her productions have garnered Drama Desk, Obie, NY Drama Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel and Olivier Awards. Her songs for the movie 'Shrek the Third' and score for 'Nights in Rodanthe' are just two of her recent film credits. This SCL event will focus on her journey from Broadway musician to music director to theatre and film composer and will offer in-the-pit and behind the curtain accounts and anecdotes, featuring live performances of her recent work plus candid conversation about her creative process, both for the stage and film.

Don't miss this rare opportunity to pose your own question and to hear the author's own words regarding the challenges and rewards of making a living in the theatre.

'Composer to Composer' with Jeanine Tesori is presented by the Society of Composers & Lyricists in collaboration with NYU's Steindhardt School. The evening is co-sponsored by the Program in Scoring for Film and Multimedia, under the direction of Ron Sadoff, within the Department of Music and Performing Art Professions, Lawrence Ferrara, Director.

The event will be held on Monday, December 14, from 7:00-8:30PM, at the Frederick Loewe Theatre in New York University's Steindhardt School. The theatre is located at 35 W. 4th St., (Washington Sq./Greene St.), NYC. Admission is $20 for non-members, free for members and NYC Steinhardt Students. Seating is limited, and reservations are required. To RSVP, please email rsvp@TheSCL.com by December 14 at 3PM.
