SCHOOL OF ROCK's Will Blum to Help Little Kids Rock Celebrate Milestone

Will Blum, from the cast of Andrew Lloyd Webber's smash hit Broadway musical, School of Rock - The Musical is making a special appearance at NYC iSchool to give students who participate in Little Kids Rock's free Modern Band program a masterclass and jam session this week.

The visit is in celebration of Little Kids Rock reaching the astounding milestone of enriching the lives of more than 500,000 students in underfunded schools by providing them free instruments and music lessons rooted in the popular music that they know and love.

Little Kids Rock is a national nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives by restoring, expanding, and innovating music education in our schools. The organization partners with public school districts to train teachers to run its innovative Modern Band curriculum, and donates all the accompanying instruments and resources necessary to teach popular music in a way that empowers students to experience instant achievement. What began as a single after-school guitar class has since exploded into a national movement that brings free, weekly music lessons to over 250,000 public school children through the efforts of more than 1,700 teachers in 124 school districts nationwide.

Students will not only get to rock alongside the Broadway star, they will also be able to engage him in a Q&A session about life as professional musician and what it's like to be on Broadway.
