SAG Nominees include 'Hairspray' Cast, Close, Kline & Baldwin

The nominations for the 14th Annual Screen Actors' Guild Awards were announced on Thursday, December 20 at the Silver Screen Theater, West Hollywood, CA.

Theatre-fans may be interested to see the ensemble of Hairspray among the nominees.  Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd did not receive any nominations.  Stage veterans and favorites who have found success on-screen were also among the list of nominees, including Vanessa Williams, Kevin Kline, Glenn Close, Vanessa Redgrave, Mary-Louise Parker, Alec Baldwin, Hal Holbrook, Ruby Dee, Amy Ryan, Michael C. Hall, and Edie Falco.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards Ceremony takes place at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center on Sunday, January 27, 2008 – broadcast on TNT and TBS live at 8PM (Eastern).
