MIAMI BEACH, Fla., Nov. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ SAA Gallery is pleased to announce its presence in the 15th edition of Scope Art Fair, Miami Beach, this week, December 1-6, 2015. Our booth will present works exploring the theme of "Seascapes" by represented artists Jacopo Ceccarelli aka 2501 and Jason Woodside, along with works of Roy Lichtenstein and Tom Wesselmann.

SAA Gallery will present new works of 2501 and Woodside produced in New York City. The works employ different techniques and expressions of abstraction in their approach to motion, patterns and cycles, inspired by Roy Lichtenstein's 1960s Seascapes series, where the latter "abandons paint to work with Rowlux plastic, shaping and molding it into iridescent, bubblegum-colored waves, overlapping into layers that move with the viewer" (cf. Sophie Gilbert, "Roy Lichtenstein: A Retrospective at the National Gallery of Art", 2012) .

2501's work, both on the streets and in galleries, explores oscillations between opposites: past and future, emptiness and over-fill, abstraction and figuration, black and white Of Italian origins, he first became known for his graffiti bombing across all of Europe, till he moved six years later to Brazil where his work and contact with leading figures of the South American graffiti school (Herbert Baglione, Os Gemeos, Higraff, etc.) completely changed his approach to painting.

Jason Woodside is an American artist that grew up by the sea in Florida and is known for painting vibrant murals across the country. Based out of New York City, his work takes a different approach to abstraction, bringing light and motion through forms and colors. He has collaborated with some of today's leading design and artistic figures, from Shepard Fairey to Michel Roux.
