Ryan Duncan, who originated the role of Juan in Altar Boyz, will star in Emerging Artists' Theatre's premiere of Jeff Hollman's Real Danger.

The play will be part of the company's second annual Triple Threat, which premieres three full-length plays by emerging playwrights. Triple Threat will play a four-week Off-Broadway engagement at Theatre 5 (311 West 43rd St. 5th Floor—btw. Eighth and Ninth Avenues). Performances begin Monday, February 5th, and continue through Saturday, March 3rd.

Paul Adams, artistic director of EAT, who is directing his first full-length production, Real Danger, is "ecstatic to be working with Jeff Hollman, who is also premiering his first full-length script."

Real Danger, according to press notes, "begins with a surprise reunion between two friends nine years after graduation from college. Edward, who is en route from New York to Canada for a back-country excursion in a canoe, initiates the reunion with his friend and soccer teammate Ferdy, who is living with Vickie in Cleveland, Ohio...For Edward, the reunion moves quickly away from his original purpose and becomes a series of shocking surprises that he could not have envisioned when he made the decision to seek out his old friend."

The production stars Duncan as Edward, Eric Chase as Ferdy, and Carol Monda as Vicki.

Duncan has appeared in the national tours of Man of La Mancha and Fiddler on the Roof, and the pre-Broadway company of I'm Not Rappaport with Judd Hirsch and Ben Vereen. In New York, he originated the role of Juan in the Off-Broadway hit Altar Boyz (Drama League nom., cast recording), and also appeared in Hermanas, theAtrainplays, Dancing Straight, Lyle, Lyle Crocodile (TW/USA), Believe and The Ritz. Regional credits include 1776 and A Christmas Carol (Ford's, D.C.), Side Show (Signature, VA), Hair (Studio, D.C.), Sex*But (Cavern Club, L.A.) and Forever Plaid (Temple, N.C.).  He has also made numerous film and TV appearances.

The production features scenic design by Robert Monaco, costume design by Amy Elizabeth Bravo, lighting design by Jenny Granrud, sound design by Ned Thorne and music composition by Louis Fujinami Conti. Jen Russo is the stage manager.

Tickets are $40 and are now available online at www.eatheatre.org or by calling 212-247-2429. Tickets may also be purchased in person on the day of the performance at Theatre 5, 311 West 43rd Street, 5th Floor.
