TORONTO, ON - World-renowned artist, author and performer, Justin BUA, will be making a one-day only special appearance in Toronto at Red Bull 381 Projects, on Saturday, May 3rd, at 381 Queen Street West, Suite 200, Toronto, ON M5V2A5, to showcase his latest mixed martial arts (MMA) artworks along with his well known, contemporary images, such as "The DJ", "1981" and "Piano Man". The "NotoriousBUA Event" is a collaborative effort among BUA, Toronto's own, comedian Russell Peters, and Red Bull 381 Projects (www.RedBull.ca) with Red Bull 381 Projects hosting this exhibition (event to be produced by Sole Power Productions). According to BUA, "I have always been an admirer of Russell Peters and his genius that is his stand-up comedy performance.... I worked with Russell to create the artwork headlining his Notorious World Tour in 2013, and when we discussed this opportunity, I was thrilled that he wanted to participate, along with the Red Bull team, in this event to promote my latest works and provide his hometown of Toronto with a truly unique entertainment experience, blending art, music, hip hop culture and MMA the passions we share." This one-day only exhibit will be open to the public from 12-3PM and there will be an RSVP only event (19+) from 3-6PM that will be attended and hosted by special guest DJ, Russell Peters.

Justin BUA, the artist and author who created one of the best known contemporary art images today, "The DJ," and who is widely recognized as one of the most compelling urban artists of all time has created a visually arresting exhibition curated by Toronto's Goodfellas Gallery, which will take the viewer on a journey through BUA's classic works, as well as his Legends of Hip Hop and his latest MMA imagery. BUA began his work on the untamed streets of New York City's Upper West Side. Fascinated by the raw, visceral street life of Manhattan, BUA used his art as a tool to capture urban culture. BUA currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to work in multiple mediums, is the author of multiple books, regularly appears on television as a guest performer, artist and expert and exhibits as well as lectures worldwide.
