Abigail E. Disney and Pierre Hauser will serve as honorary chairs of Royal Family Productions Benefit Cocktail Reception on Monday, March 12 at 6:30PM at Union Square's Blue Water Grill (31 Union Square). Fresh off their successful run of Gary Duggan's Dedalus Lounge, this event will highlight Off Broadway's Royal Family Productions, from their main stage productions to their educational programs.  Tickets are $150 and VIP tickets are $500 and can be purchased at rfp.charityhappenings.org

The evening will feature performances from Anthony Rapp, Dee Roscioli and Shelia Carpenter; joining the celebration are Margaret Keane (Cinemax's "The Girls Guide to Depravity"), John Cariani and celebrated photographer Richard Corman, Two Time Tony Nominee and star of A Streetcar Named Desire, Daphne Rubin Vega.  The proceeds from this event will benefit RFP's Mainstage and Educational programs.

RFP's most recent main stage production, Dedalus Lounge by Gary Duggan, received a review from The New York Times where Ken Jaworowski wrote, "Mesmerizing! Earnest and odd, tender and disturbing." RFP's additional NYC producing credits include Nobody Suspects A Butterfly (Workshop, TBG Theatre), and Painted Ladies (Symphony Space), a 10-Minute Play Festival, featuring new works by William Mastrosimone (Emmy Winner) John Cariani (Tony-Nominee), and Josh Liveright, as well as numerous staged readings and the creation of the Maine Exchange Series.

RFP's Educational Theatre Program builds on the apprenticeship model as students work with professional artists. The classes implement Director Chris Henry's process of creating a production to build confidence, self- expression, focus, and teamwork. No auditions are held and students are able to choose what size role they want to play in the performance. Scholarships are offered for various educational programs allowing children of all socio-economic backgrounds to participate. Over 30% of students have received financial aid over the past four years.
