Roundabout Theatre Company Wins Three Web Awards

Roundabout Theatre Company’s (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) Sunday in the Park with George - Connect: The Dot Project www.SundayDots.com won Interactive Advertising Bureau’s (IAB) bronze medal MIXX Award for Best Public Service/Not-for-Profit website and Web Marketing Association’s (WMA) 2008 WebAward for Best Arts website.  In addition, Roundabout Theatre Company’s virtual seat naming campaign www.Studio54seats.org, won WMA’s 2008 WebAward for Non-Profit Standard of Excellence for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development.

IAB’s MIXX Awards are the only honor devoted exclusively to interactive advertising, and the only juried competition that recognizes excellence in both creativity and effectiveness. For the first time, the digital advertising campaigns were evaluated by senior executives from agencies, publishers and marketing organizations deliberating together, sharing their distinct perspectives on what makes advertising creative successful.

This year, submissions were sent in from hundreds of leading agencies, representing traditional advertising agencies and native digital shops which entered work across virtually every major vertical industry including Apple, Nissan, Verizon and many others.

WMA was founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and development of the best websites on the World Wide Web. Staffed by volunteers, WMA is made up of Internet marketing, online advertising, PR, and top web site design professionals who share an interest in improving the quality of online advertising, internet marketing, and website promotion.

Roundabout Theatre Company’s critically acclaimed Broadway production of Reginald Rose’s Twelve Angry Men is currently booking the third year of its multi-award winning tour.  Twelve Angry Men is directed by Tony-nominated director Scott Ellis (Curtains).
