Intimate Apparel opened on Sunday, April 11, 2004 and concluded its limited engagement on Sunday, June 13, 2004. Intimate Apparel received a Drama Desk Award (Best Actress in a Play for Viola Davis), an Outer Critics Circle Award (Best Play), an Outer Critics Circle Award John Gassner Award (Best Play), a New York Drama Critics' Circle Award (Best Play), an Obie Award (Outstanding performance for Viola Davis), a PEN/Laura Pels Foundation Award for Drama, an American Theatre Critic's Assoc. Francesca Primus Award (Best Play) and a Steinberg New Play Award.

Intimate Apparel was the inaugural production of Roundabout Theater Company's Off-Broadway venue, the Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.

This season's The Foreigner opened on Sunday, November 7, 2004 and concluded its limited engagement on January 16, 2005 at the Laura Pels Theatre. The Foreigner's Frances Sternhagen also to receive Edith Oliver Award for Sustained Excellence.
