Roundabout Theatre Company is thrilled to announce an exclusive, live online chat with legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim (Sunday in the Park with George) and Roundabout's Artistic Director Todd Haimes on Tuesday, May 6th at 7:00pm.

During this exclusive online event, participants will gather in a chat room where they can instantly send questions to the hosts. Then, Stephen Sondheim and Todd Haimes will type back with their answers -- in real time.  Simply log on to www.roundaboutchat.com to sign up!  Space in the chat room is subject to availability.

This live chat event is the latest element of Roundabout's ongoing interactive initiative designed to creatively engage theatergoers and extend their experiences beyond the theatre.  Fans of Sunday in the Park with George can also log on to www.sundaydots.com to easily create their personal "Dot" and become a part of the fun, interactive social forum.

In addition, the show's homepage www.sundayintheparkonbroadway.com hosts a Snap Poll for audience members to learn more about the show and each other.  The Snap Poll also enters the participant for the chance to win Sunday in the Park with George gift packages!  Log on now to join this growing community of theatergoers online.

Daniel Evans (George), Jenna Russell (Dot & Marie), Michael Cumpsty (Jules & Bob), Alexander Gemignani (Boatman & Dennis) and Jessica Molaskey (Yvonne & Naomi) star in Sunday in the Park with George with Mary Beth Peil (Old Lady & Blair). The Menier Chocolate Factory's (David Babani, Artistic Director) Olivier Award winning production of Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine's Pulitzer Prize winning musical Sunday in the Park with George, is directed by Sam Buntrock with musical staging by Christopher Gattelli.

Sunday in the Park with George is playing a limited engagement through June 29th, 2008 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street).

The Georges Seurat painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, is the inspiration for this compelling musical fantasy which celebrates the art of creation and the creation of art.  The first half of Sunday in the Park with George, set in 1884, sees the painting and its rich comic tapestry come to life in a world where, for Georges, art comes before love, before everything.  In the second half, set in 1980s New York, we see the great grandson of Georges and his search for inspiration amongst the unfolding world of contemporary art.

Roundabout has a long relationship with Stephen Sondheim having produced four Tony Award nominated Sondheim revivals including Company (1995), Follies (2001), Tony Award winning Assassins (2004) and Pacific Overtures (2004).  This production of Sunday in the Park with George marks the third Sondheim musical produced by Roundabout Theatre Company at Studio 54, where Assassins and Pacific Overtures both played in 2004.  In 2005, Roundabout honored Sondheim with the Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre for the indelible impact his life's work has made on the theatre world.

Sunday in the Park with George has been nominated for six Drama Desk Awards including Outstanding Revival of a Musical, Outstanding Director of a Musical (Sam Buntrock) and Outstanding Actor & Actress in a Musical (Daniel Evans & Jenna Russell). Sunday in the Park with George was nominated for five Outer Critic's Circle Awards including Outstanding Revival of a Musical and Outstanding Actor in a Musical (Daniel Evans). Sunday in the Park with George was also honored with three Drama League nominations for Distinguished Revival of a Musical and Distinguished Performances (Daniel Evans & Jenna Russell).
