Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director), is thrilled to announce the launch of CONNECT: The Dot Project.  By logging on to www.sundaydots.com, fans & friends of the show can easily create their own "dot" which then becomes a part of George Seurat's famous painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte.

Creating a dot is simple, easy and fun.  Users will be asked for their name, email, and the "Top 5 things you like to do on a Sunday".  Once the dot is created, it immediately becomes a part of the painting that inspired the musical.  Log on now to search for your friends' dots and watch the painting grow!

Daniel Evans (George), Jenna Russell (Dot & Marie), Michael Cumpsty (Jules & Bob), Alexander Gemignani (Boatman & Dennis) and Jessica Molaskey (Yvonne & Naomi) star in Sunday in the Park with George with Mary Beth Peil (Old Lady & Blair). The Menier Chocolate Factory's (David Babani, Artistic Director) Olivier Award winning production of Stephen Sondheim & James Lapine's Pulitzer Prize winning musical Sunday in the Park with George, is directed by Sam Buntrock with musical staging by Christopher Gattelli.

Sunday in the Park with George began previews on January 25, 2008 and opened officially on February 21, 2008 at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th Street).  This limited engagement has been extended through June 15th.

Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell are appearing with the permission of Actors' Equity Association.  The Producers gratefully acknowledge Actors' Equity Association for its assistance with this production.

The Georges Seurat painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, is the inspiration for this compelling musical fantasy which celebrates the art of creation and the creation of art.  The first half of Sunday in the Park with George, set in 1884, sees the painting and its rich comic tapestry come to life in a world where, for Georges, art comes before love, before everything.  In the second half, set in 1980s New York, we see the great grandson of Georges and his search for inspiration amongst the unfolding world of contemporary art.
