On Wednesday, October 17 Rosie Perez, star of the Roundabout Theatre Company's The Ritz, will be featured on CW 11 "Morning News" from 8:40AM-9AM on Channel 11 and on NBC's "Martha Stewart Show" from 1PM-2PM on Channel 4. Tune in to hear Rosie Perez discuss her challenging and exciting role as "Googie Gomez" in The Ritz.
Roundabout Theatre Company presents a new Broadway production of Terrence McNally's comedy The Ritz starring Rosie Perez (Googie Gomez) and Kevin Chamberlin (Gaetano Proclo), directed by Joe Mantello at Studio 54 on Broadway (254 West 54th St).
The Ritz is playing a limited engagement through December 2, 2007.
"The Ritz is an over-the-top comedy that takes place in a bathhouse in Manhattan. When Gaetano Proclo needs to hide from mobster Carmine Vespucci, he escapes to the Ritz. When Gaetano realizes the Ritz is a gay bathhouse and not a Turkish bath, he pretends to be a big-time Broadway producer to keep suspicions low. When Carmine locates Gaetano what transpires is wild, manic mayhem," explain press notes.
