Rosie O'Donnell's OWN Show Switches to Entertainment-Based Format

According to USA Today, Rosie O'Donnell's upcoming talk show for the OWN network has switched time slots, and thus will change up the overall concept of the show. On the show's new 7PM spot, O'Donnell commented:  "we can't do an hour focusing on autism. It'll be fun, games, entertainment, variety."

Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) will air Rosie, Rosie O'Donnell's forthcoming daily talk show debuting on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, marking the next chapter of SiriusXM's relationship with the Emmy®-award winning talk show host, movie star, stand-up comedienne and bestselling author, which started in November 2009 with the creation of Rosie Radio.

Rosie, launching Fall 2011 on OWN, will air on SiriusXM the same day it airs on OWN, with encore presentations airing later in the day.

After formally taking a break from the comedy circuit in 1995, O'Donnell went onto host the Emmy winning The Rosie O'Donnell Show, and The View and star on Broadway in GREASE. Additional Broadway credits for the star include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, TABOO, and SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL. O'Donnell is currently emceeing her own raodio show, Rosie Radio, on Sirius XM Radio.
