Rosamund Pike Cast in London Friel Play Performance

Stage and film star Rosamund Pike has been cast opposite previously-announced Henry Goodman in Performance, running from July 3rd through 15th at Wilton's Music Hall in East London.

Written by Brian Friel (Faith Healer, Dancing at Lughnasa), Performance will star Goodman (The Producers, upcoming London Fiddler on the Roof) as Czech composer Leos Janacek and Pike as Kamila Stosslova, his object of love and his inspiration for characters in several operas.

A production of Dublin's Gate Theatre (where it premiered 3 years ago), Performance features direction by that theatre's Artistic Director Lou Stein and music performed by the Brodsky Quartet.

Pike has previously been seen on the West End in Hitchcock Blonde and will also star in Summer and Smoke at the Nottingham Playhouse in the fall. Film and TV credits include Pride & Prejudice, The Libertine, Die Another Day and "Love in a Cold Climate."
