Star of Bravo's hit TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and New York Times Best Selling author of "Hiding from Reality: My Story of Love, Loss and Finding the Courage Within," will be hosting "Flavors of the City" on Tuesday, May 1st for Rooftop760.

Rooftop760 (also known as Copacabana's rooftop located at 268 47th Street) will be hosting "Flavors of the City" this Tuesday. Flavors of the City is a food tasting charity event sponsored by Follow That Girl NYC, an organization that empowers women to empower others. Copacabana's very own Chef Alex Garcia will be honored for his accomplishments as a restaurateur, TV personality, author, and the original pioneer in creating the Nuevo Latin cooking movement. Bravo's Rocco's Dinner Party winner, Chef Joe "JJ" Johnson, winner will also be recognized. Taylor Armstrong, star of Bravo's hit TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and New York Times Best Selling author for three consecutive weeks of Hiding from Reality will be hosting this red carpet event. This charity was created to raise awareness of domestic abuse and to benefit Socks 4 Tots, a not for profit organization that offers assistance to domestic abuse victims and their families.

Nuevo Latino chef, Alex Garcia helped popularize Cuban food at several New York City restaurants and on the Food Network. Garcia's work in New York has included stints at Erizo Latino in Soho, Babalu, Patria, Calle Ocho, Habana Room and now his latest venture Copacabana Supper Club. Alex Garcia is being recognized for his dedication and accomplishments throughout his culinary career. From leading the kitchens of many hot spots in NYC to hosting "The Melting Pot" on the Food Network, this chef, restaurateur, TV personality and author has dedicated his career to the education and celebration of Latin culture specifically through its cuisine.
